Trail of the Lakes MUD residents made Labor Day Saturday a productive morning at the dog park parking lot. Forty-three households dropped off documents and electronics during the two-hour event.
West Houston Document Destruction handled on-site shredding. Their team made the process quick and secure so residents could protect themselves from identity theft while recycling the paper. A separate recycling crew accepted eligible computer-related electronics to help reduce the amount of E-waste that ends up in regional landfills.
Board members and volunteers kept the line moving and captured a few photos of the morning. Thank you to everyone who sorted their paper and e-waste ahead of time, followed the “no wet paper / no plastic bags” rules, and helped keep the event safe and efficient.
The Trail of the Lakes board is committed to hosting these events to give residents a convenient, free way to dispose of sensitive papers and outdated electronics that do not belong in regular trash or recycling carts. We plan to host the event again next year, so watch the website for updates.
