Operation crews responded to a low-pressure issue on July 9, 2026, once on site they found a Booster Pump at one of the Water Plants had a leak, we also found that a valve was not function properly on the air compressor and was allowing excess air to go directly into the tank. This caused air to get into the Distribution system causing the pressure issue and air in the lines some residents were experiencing. There was a tech in District the evening of July 9th flushing the distribution lines and they are continuing flushing the lines as needed.
Residents who are still experiencing air in the lines are encouraged to let their water run for a few minutes to purge any air that may be in their service line. If you notice “cloudy color” or water that comes out in spirts this is normal with air in the line and the “cloudy color” will dissipate within a few minutes. If the problem persists after the water has been purged from the service lines for a few minutes, please call the Operator at 832-490-1600 and a crew member will be dispatched to flush the mainlines near the area.
The Streets that are affected by the issue are Atascocita Forest sections 1, 2 & 4 the streets mainly seeing the issues are Crestline, Favor Bend, Wintergreen, and Huntersglen
